Who am I? Glad you asked....

I have been both a journalist and a web designer since 1995. Pursuing my career in journalism was deliberate. I studied journalism along with creative writing while attending the University of Alabama. As a journalist, I have covered general news, sports, military and construction. I have also completed assignments as a travel writer.

Web design was something I fell into by accident. One day in the bookstore, I thumbed through book on HTML and decided to try building webpages. All of my web skills are self-taught and over the years my experiences with web design and lead me to forumlate many theories on the subject. I have also made a good living merging the web with journalism.

In other areas of my life, I have also been a soldier, amateur astronomer, adventurer, globetrotter and martial artist. I also love aviation, which I proudly celebrate as a member of the EAA (member 856091). My philosophy on life is to enjoy every moment you have and always work hard to pursue your dreams. I believe that anyone can achieve anything they set their mind to, as long as they understand the basic rules of any subject and is willing to put the time into learning it.

My enso

Vincent's enso The enso, which appears throughout this site, is a Zen Buddhist symbol representing the Absolute, enlightenment, strength, elegance, the Universe and the Void. In Zen Buddhist painting, the enso symbolizes a moment when the mind is free to simply let the body/spirit create. Each one is unique and it is believed that the character of the creator is revealed when it is drawn.
